PERTUMBUHAN SEMAI CEMPAKA (Magnolia champaca. L) PADA MEDIA TUMBUH YANG DITAMBAHKAN KOMBINASI ARANG KAYU DAN FUNGI MIKORIZA ARBUSKULAR
Abstract
The development of cempaka species (Magnolia champaca L.) in community forests needs to be supported by the availability of seedlings with high quality such as fast growing, homogen, strong stem seedlings, good root development, resistance to pests or diseases and a high percentage of life in the field. The research was carried out from December 2020 to March 2021, taking place at the BPDAS-HL Palu Poso permanent nursery, which is located in the Tadulako University campus area. Reseacrh was using the Completely Randomized Design (CRD) method with four treatments. The results showed that the combination treatment of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (M3) and wood charcoal had a significant effect on the growth of cempaka seedlings, namely the increase in height and number of leaves, but had no significant effect on the increase in diameter and the value of seedling robustness. The combination treatment of AMF and wood charcoal (M3) gave the best effect on the growth of cempaka seedlings compared to other treatments, with an average height increase of 1.83 cm, an increase in the number of leaves by an average of 2.20 strands, an average increase in seedling diameter 0.22 mm and the toughness value with an average of 3.52.
