Abstract

Forests are natural resources that have many benefits for human life. These benefits can be divided into two, namely tangible benefits (tangible) and intangible benefits (intangible). The interaction between humans and forests has been going on for quite a long time because forests provide benefits to people's lives. Forests also provide opportunities for people to work. The purpose of this study is to determine the community's interaction and analyze the level of community dependence on forest resources in Bakubakulu Village, Palolo District, Sigi Regency. This research has been carried out for 3 months, namely from March to June 2021, located in Bakubakulu Village, Palolo District, Sigi Regency. The data collection technique used the observation method, which was done by going directly to the research location and interviews, which allowed the respondents to use purposive sampling. Based on the research by interview people on Bakubakulu Village, the community knows the types that are used, but in reality there are only a few people who do not use forest resources. The form of utilization carried out by the community is an indication of the dependence of the community on the research location.
