ASOSIASI JENIS BURUNG DI SUAKA MARGASATWA PULAU PASOSO KABUPATEN DONGGALA SULAWESI TENGAH
Abstract
The purpose of this study was to identify bird species and associations of bird species in the Pasoso Island Wildlife Reserve. On Pasoso Island, many people carry out tree cutting activities to build boats. Tree felling does not rule out tree species as nesting sites or the main food source for each type of bird. Therefore birds can move from one place to another to find habitats that are used according to their needs, indirectly an association between two types of birds can occur. The technique of data collection is done by using the Point count method. Observations were made on the sample unit (counting point) in the form of a circle with a radius of r = 25 m. The placement of the sample unit (point count) uses the Systematic Sampling method with a total of 48 observation points and a distance of 100 m from one point to another. The results of the research at the Pasoso Island Wildlife Reserve showed that there were 18 species of birds belonging to 13 families. Based on the results of data analysis, it can be seen that there are 14 species of birds that are associated and 4 species of birds that are not associated. Among them are bird species that are included in the associated category where X2 count > X2 table (0.05) while 4 bird species are included in the unassociated category because they have an X2 count < X2 table (0.05).
