Abstract

rattan has an exotic shape and has also been widely used by Indonesian.This research was conducted in Pancamakmur Village, Soyo Jaya District, North Morowali Regency, Central Sulawesi. This research was carried out for 3 months from December 2021 - February 2022. Data collection techniques used in the study were interview and questionnaire techniques. The selection of the sample of respondents was carried out by purposive sampling, namely the selection of respondents intentionally taken from 60 community populations who use rattan in Pancamakmur Village from the existing population, the selection of respondents' samples was chosen intentionally as much as 50% of the existing population who met the criteria that have been set. Determined. This study reveals that the characteristics of the people who use rattan in Pancamakmur Village are mostly people with low education, most of them have elementary school education and their average age range is 31-40 years. they have an average family of 3-4 people and their main occupation is farming. The mechanism for using rattan in Pancamakmur Village is carried out at a certain time while waiting for the rice harvest season 2-3 times a year and is carried out in groups but the results obtained are individual. People who use rattan are dependent on collectors because of their need for working capital. The income obtained from access to the use of rattan is Rp. 2,4002,000 per month or only Rp. 4,804,000 per year, which is done 2 times a year. This has implications for resource is sustainability.
