Abstract

The purpose of this study was to identify the diversity of insectivorous birds in various types of habitats. Identify species composition, species diversity, species presence level, species evenness, species dominance, and similarity of bird species. Held for 3 months, from May to July 2021, at the Pasoso Island Wildlife Reserve, Donggala Regency, Central Sulawesi. The method used in this research isusing the point count method (Point Count). The results of this study show18 bird species were obtained with a total of 2153 individuals in 15 families in three habitat types. Species diversity in old secondary is1.8301, gardens 1.8109, and shrubs 1.9095. The level of presence of bird species on old secondary with 100% presence: Gerygone sulphurea, Collocalia vanikorensis, Halcyon chloris, Zosterops chloris, Nectarinia jugularis, Aplonis panayensis, Chrysococcyx minutillus, Eudynamys melanorhyncha, Cacatua sulphurea, Megapodius cumingii.100% presence gardens: Gerygone sulphurea, Collocalia vanikorensis, Halcyon chloris, Zosterops chloris, Nectarinia jugularis, Aplonis panayensis, Eudynamys melanorhyncha, Anthreptes malacensis. Bush bush 100% presence rate: Collocalia vanikorensis, Halcyon chloris, Zosterops chloris. The dominant bird species in the old secondary are Collocalia vanikorensis and Zosterops chloris. The gardens are Collocalia vanikorensis, and Zosterops chloris. The shrubs are Collocalia vanikorensis, and Zosterops chloris. The species similarity between old secondary and gardens was 59%, species similarity between old secondary and shrubs was 56%, and species similarity between gardens and shrubs was 56%.
