PENGARUH TAKARAN PUPUK KANDANG BURUNG PUYUH TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN SEMAI NYATOH (Palaquium obtusifolium Burck) DI LAPANGAN
Abstract
Nyatoh has a potential to be developed, including on open lands such as the Untad Campus. The failure
of tree plants in the campus area often occurs because the physical and chemical conditions of the soil
do not support the initial growth of plants. One alternative that can be done is to add quail manure to
the planting hole. This study aims to determine the best dose of quail manure applied to the growth of
nyatoh (Palaquium obtusifolium Burck) seedlings. The research was conducted for 3 months, from
November 2021 to February 2022, which was located in the area of the Faculty of Forestry, Tadulako
University, Palu. This study used a completely randomized design, which consisted of 5 doses of quail
manure treatment with 7 replications, namely P0 = Soil without quail manure, P1 = quail manure 0.25
kg/planting hole, P2 = Quail manure 0.50 kg/planting hole, P3 = quail manure 0.75 kg/planting hole,
P4 = quail manure 1 kg/planting hole. Parameters observed were increase in height, diameter, and
number of leaves. Measurement data using analysis of variance (F test) with the Least Significant
Difference test at 5% level. The results showed that the effect of the dose of quail manure had a
significant effect on the increase in height, diameter and number of leaves of nyatoh seedlings. The best
growth of nyatoh seedlings was obtained in treatment P1 (soil + 0.25 kg fertilizer), on all growth
parameters.
