Abstract
Chemical compounds contained in medicinal plants are the result of secondary metabolism such as
terpenoids, alkaloids, phenols, polyketides and flavonoids and their derivatives. The research was
carried out for 3 (three) months starting from October to December 2020 which took place in Jono
Village, South Dolo District, Sigi Regency. This research is a qualitative research using a descriptive
approach. This produces a variety of qualitative data in the form of written or spoken words from people
who behave that can be observed (Sugiyono, 2014). The formulation of the problem in this research are:
what types of plants are used as traditional medicine, what parts of the plant are used as medicine, how
to use plant species as traditional medicine. plants used as traditional medicine, determine the part of
the plant used as medicine, determine how to use traditional medicinal plants. Based on the results of
research conducted in Jono Village, South Dolo District, Sigi Regency, it can be concluded as follows:
The use of medicinal plants by the community of Jono Village, South Dolo District, Sigi Regency found
29 plant species grouped into 27 plant species. family used by the people of Jono Village as traditional
medicine. Medicinal plants that were mostly used by the people of Jono village were 15 (0.46%) leaves,
4 (0.12%) stems, 3 (0.09%), 3 (0.09%), 3 roots (0 .09%), sap as much as 3 (0.09%), plant parts that are
rarely used shoots as much as 2 (0.06%) and flowers as much as 2 (0.06%). , covered, eaten and dripped,from the 4 groups the most used to drink as much as 24 (0.61%), spread 11 (0.28%), dripped 3 (0.07%),
eaten 1 (0.02%).
