Abstract

Green open space is a space that exists in a city or region broadly, either in the form of an elongated or grouped area or area whose use is more open without buildings. This study aims to determine the need for green open space in the city of Parigi based on its area in accordance with Government Regulation No. 21 of 2021 concerning the implementation of spatial planning and to find out the area of green open space needed based on oxygen demand for the number of residents, motorized vehicles and livestock in the city of Parigi.This research was carried out for 3 months starting from June to August 2022 in the city of Parigi, Parigi Moutong Regency. The method used in this study is an analysis of the need for green open space based on the area and analysis of the need for green open space based on oxygen demand. The results of the research conducted show that the required green open space based on the area of the Parigi city area is 472.8 ha with the composition for public green open space having an area of 315.2 ha and for private green open space having an area of 157.6 Ha. The results of the analysis of green open space needs based on oxygen demand in the Parigi city area are 50,976,470 g/day with the required green open space area of 1,006,942.61 m2 or 100.69 ha. From the results of this analysis it can be concluded that the need for green open space based on area and based on oxygen does not meet standards.
