PENGARUH KONSENTRASI PUPUK ORGANIK CAIR DAUN KELOR (Moringa oleifera Lam.) TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN SEMAI MAHONI (Swietenia macrophylla King.)

Abstract

Moringa leaves contain chemical compounds such as calcium, magnesium, phosphorus, iron and sulfur so that Moringa leaves can be used to make liquid organic fertilizer. Moringa leaf liquid fertilizer can be used by spraying it on the leaves to accelerate plant growth. This study aims to determine the effect of various concentrations of liquid organic fertilizer for Moringa leaves (Moringa oleifera Lam.) on the growth of mahogany (Swietenia macropylla King) seedlings. This research was carried out for 3 months, from May to July 2022, which took place at the BPDAS-HL Palu-Poso Permanent Nursery, located in the Tadulako University campus area, Palu, Central Sulawesi. This study used a completely randomized design (CRD) method which consisted of 4 levels of concentration. Parameters observed were seedling height, stem diameter, number of leaves and seedling quality index. Research data were analyzed by analysis of variance, if it showed a significant effect, then it was continued with the 5% level test (BNJ). The results showed that the application of various treatments of liquid organic fertilizer for Moringa leaves had a significant effect on the increase in height, increase in diameter, increase in the number of leaves and the quality index of seedlings. The treatment that gave the highest yield was P2 = POC concentration of 25% with an average height increase of 6.59 cm, a diameter of 1.14 mm, the number of leaves was 3.1 and the quality index of seedlings was 0.759.
